These terms apply when you use ZodiacFolk (formerly Starlight Guide) on the web at app.zodiacfolk.app or, when it is available, on iPhone. When you first use ZodiacFolk, we ask you to confirm that you accept these terms. We record the version you accepted and when. Optional choices, such as product analytics, sensitive-data uses and parental authorization where required, are asked separately and are never required for basic use. If you don’t agree to these terms, please don’t use ZodiacFolk.

What ZodiacFolk is

ZodiacFolk offers astrology readings, questions, lessons and a journal for reflection and entertainment. Readings are calculated from your birth details and published planetary positions, then written up using astrological traditions. They are prompts to think with, not predictions or facts about you or anyone else.

ZodiacFolk doesn’t give medical, mental health, legal, financial or other professional advice. Don’t use it to make decisions about your health, safety, money, relationships or legal matters. Talk to a qualified professional instead.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older to use ZodiacFolk. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, please review these terms with a parent or guardian. Please give your real birth date: the app uses it to calculate readings and to apply age rules. Invitations to try ZodiacFolk early are for people 18 and older.

Your account

• Keeping it safe: keep your sign-in method secure and your details correct. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• Deleting it: you can delete your account at any time with “Delete all my data” in the app. Deleting your account ends web Plus immediately. If you bought Plus through the App Store, deleting your account doesn’t cancel it; cancel it in the App Store.
• Your data: our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

The guides

ZodiacFolk’s guides are fictional AI characters, and the app says so on every guide screen. Your guides are generated by artificial intelligence. They aren’t real people, astrologers, tarot readers or counselors, and nothing they say comes from a person reviewing your chart. When you talk to a guide or use Ask, you are using an AI system, not a person.

Your wellbeing

Ask is for reflection and entertainment. It isn’t a crisis or support service. The guides are AI characters, not people. If you type a question about hurting yourself or someone else, or about being in danger, the app shows you a card instead of a guide’s answer. The card has help lines for where you are.

If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

Typing your own questions is for adults 18 and older. If you’re under 18, or we don’t know your age, your typed words are not sent to an AI model, and you can still use the questions we offer. Answers from the AI are checked before you see them. If an answer looks unsafe, you see a fixed message instead.

These checks are automatic and can miss things. We don’t monitor you, and we can’t contact anyone for you. If you’re in crisis, please reach out to someone directly.

Talking to an AI guide in your own words may not be suitable for some young people, so it’s for adults 18 and older.

How we handle thoughts of suicide or self-harm

Using ZodiacFolk properly

Please don’t:

• Other people’s information: add someone to your Circle without their permission, or use ZodiacFolk to harass, track or make claims about another person.
• Access: try to reach another person’s account or data, or get around the app’s age rules or fair-use limits.
• Automated use: copy, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use automated tools to access it.
• The law: break the law or anyone’s rights.
• Misleading others: present ZodiacFolk’s readings, voices or characters as coming from a real person or professional.

We may limit or close an account that breaks these rules. We’ll tell you when we reasonably can.

If we learn of what appears to be child sexual abuse material, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and keep it and related account data for at least one year, even if you delete it. We may also close your account.

Your content

Your journal entries, photos and Circle details remain yours. You let us store and process them only to provide ZodiacFolk to you, as our Privacy Policy describes. We don’t use them for advertising.

Our content

ZodiacFolk, including its app, website, text, readings, lessons, guide characters, artwork, voices and name, belongs to JXR Labs LLC or its licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may share a reading or card through the app’s share options. Please don’t copy, sell or redistribute it otherwise.

Planet positions are calculated from data published by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Place data includes GeoNames data used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. The animal name check uses the List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene, and Otherwise Bad Words by Shutterstock and contributors, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep ZodiacFolk available, but we can’t promise it will always be available or work without errors. Features may change or be removed. Question limits apply so the service stays available to everyone.

Disclaimers

ZodiacFolk is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and any warranty about what a reading says. This disclaimer does not affect any statutory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, JXR Labs LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on ZodiacFolk. Our total liability for any claim about ZodiacFolk is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date, and if a change matters we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using ZodiacFolk after that, the new terms apply. If we make a material change to the Plus subscription terms, including the price, billing period or cancellation rules, we will ask for your agreement before the change applies to your subscription. You can cancel before the new terms take effect.

ZodiacFolk Plus

ZodiacFolk Plus is an optional subscription, monthly or yearly. When Plus is available to you, new subscribers get a 7-day trial at no charge. The price, the billing period and what’s included are shown before you buy. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If you cancel during the trial, you won’t be charged. If you cancel later, Plus stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

The web app shows your trial end date, the price and billing period, and how to cancel. On iPhone, if notifications are on and scheduling succeeds, we schedule a notification two days before. We can’t guarantee you’ll see or receive a reminder, so please note your trial end date.

Who sells it depends on where you buy it:

• On iPhone, Plus is sold by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s terms. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
• On the web, Plus is sold through Link, a service of Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) for the purchase. Link’s purchase terms, shown at checkout, apply to the payment, and Link handles the payment, any sales tax, receipts, refunds and payment disputes. Your purchase shows as “Sold through Link.” Manage or cancel it at link.com.

Deleting your account ends web Plus immediately. Unused time isn’t refunded unless the law where you live requires it or Link’s refund policy allows it. If you live in the EU or UK, you can cancel a new web subscription within 14 days of subscribing and get a full refund. Ask Link support at support.link.com. If that doesn’t resolve it, write to us at support@jxrlabs.app and we’ll make sure you’re refunded.

For other payment, receipt or refund questions, contact Link support at support.link.com. Web purchases are for adults aged 18 and over.

We provide the Plus features themselves. For anything about the features or your account, contact us at support@jxrlabs.app.

Shared pair features. If you have Plus and link with friends in Circle, you can open the “just you two” features with each of up to 5 linked friends. They don’t get Plus for anything else. Their access ends if your subscription ends or either of you unlinks.

Founding member price. If you start yearly Plus, including its 7-day trial, between October 15 and November 20, 2026, 11:59 PM Eastern, your price stays $49.99 a year, plus any tax, for as long as your yearly subscription continues without a break.

The lock ends if: you cancel and your subscription ends; a payment fails and isn’t fixed within 14 days; you switch to monthly or to a different plan; you get a refund or dispute the charge; or you delete your account. If you come back later, the price at that time applies.

What it covers: the price only. What Plus includes can change, as our Terms say. The lock applies to yearly Plus bought on the web; it doesn’t apply to the App Store. If we ever stop offering yearly Plus, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before and the lock ends with the plan.

We may change Plus prices or features. If we raise the price of a web Plus plan you’re already on, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the change takes effect and ask for your confirmation before it applies. You can cancel before the new price applies, and you won’t be charged the new price without your agreement. On iPhone, Apple handles price changes under its own rules. This does not apply to a founding member’s yearly price while their founding member price continues, as described above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can’t be waived. If you are an EU or UK consumer, nothing in these terms limits your rights under the laws of your country of residence, and you may bring claims in the courts of your country of residence.

Apple App Store

If you use ZodiacFolk on iPhone, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple isn’t responsible for ZodiacFolk or its content.
